“ I have been coming here for a few years now and have always had a good time. I know people are concerned about the treatment of the dogs but often they bring the dogs around to meet you and I've always seen them to be happy and well taken care of. I'm not a huge gambler but it is fun to make a few bets and watch the races one in a while. I haven't been in the actual clubhouse part of this venue but I hear it's a lot nicer than the other parts. In the main part there are a few places to get drinks and snacks and I've found the drinks to be very reasonable priced. They do have a full bar. There are self service betting kiosks as well as at least 2 humans working that you can place your bets with. They have TVs all over the place with races from around the country. I know the dogs are going away come January 2020 and I'm not sure what will become of this venue. ”

“ Such a great experience!! We came here for my boyfriend's birthday. He use to come as a child all the time, so I reached out to see if we could do anything special for his birthday at the races. Johanna was awesome and set everything up for us! We got there and she met us at the club house front desk, took us on a tour of the facilities and had a reserved table for us in the clubhouse against the window. She also had "Happy Birthday Bryan" printed on the handouts - such a great idea. Once we were seated and got a couple beers she came back with souvenirs cups for us. Before the races started, the announcer also wished Bryan a happy birthday. Can't say enough - it was an awesome experience and Johanna made it so personalized for us! ”

“ This is a great track with huge flat screen televisions all over the clubhouse wall simulcasting many horse & dog races across the country. Also, something really cool is that in the clubhouse each table has a small flatscreen tv with a remote so you can flip through channels of all the various races across the state & country, as well as the current races running at the SOKC. The service is quite good considering it's the track clubhouse restaurant & not just a restaurant. Our server was new to working Friday nights & wasn't sure how to order the Friday special which is two meals for $25 that come with a choice of soup or salad. The choices for the entree are the prime rib or the fish fry, both served with an accompaniment of choice of potato & vegetable. She asked a fellow coworker & then quickly typed in the order in to the electronic pad, which is also a really cool feature. Also, another great offer is $2 draught beers on Friday & the selection is Bud, Bud Light, & Amberbach. The check came to $34 for two meals, three beers, & one soft drink. My mother ordered the prime rib & my grandfather ordered the fish fry & they both ordered a baked potato & corn. My grandfather raved about this fish & my mom loved her end cut of the prime rib, which is way to well done for me but as long as she's happy!! My mother ate her dinner cold because she gets up every few minutes to bet at the self betting computer on all of the races going on all over the country. My mom is great at choosing her bets because she won every race she bet for seven races in a row. After her third win, I gave her money & said, "Ok, I want in mommy. Just do you!" We did VERY WELL & I had a lot of fun!!! I think we will be hitting up the doggies at least once more while visiting my parents here in sunny FL :) ”

“ A great place to people watch. It's a dog track. Don't expect it to be fancy or clean. Although, if you go to the Clubhouse lounge, you can find a nice, well priced meal. The restaurant has very good service and decent specials. For the good people watching, go out by the track! ”

“ Haven't been to the track in years, however, I was pleasantly surprised with what they've done to the place. It used to be dark and cold with a few old TV sets scattered about, now it's warm and inviting with lots of flat screen sets everywhere. Carpeting has replaced the old tiled floors, and it looks like fresh paint on the walls. I didn't want to pay the admission to the Clubhouse, been there and done that. I was there for the live action and few cold beers, which I found at the Red Hook bar. Barmaid was friendly and suggested that I try a nice IPA to go with my chicken wings and pizza slice (more about them in a minute) Beer was good, never had it before and ended up getting a Long Hammer and a Long Board IPA which went awesome with the hot wings, which were done crispy (the way I like 'em) and a generous slice of pizza. Price was in line with any entertainment venue in Central Florida. I had fun, won a few bucks to recoup my lunch expense, and will definitely go back now that the place looks better. ”

“ If you haven't been to SOKC in the past year, you really need to check it out. They have remodeled every part of the facility. Improved the food, added new TVs, included free programs with the $2 Clubhouse admission, improved their customer service, etc., etc. Recommend visiting the Clubhouse located on the East end of the property for your first visit. ”

“ If you want good food, great betting and well priced drinks you need to visit The Clubhouse at the Sanford Orlando Kennel Club. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because of the one side of the venue is out dated. There are two sides to this venue. There is the grand stand side which opened in 1935. This area is the older section of the Kennel Club. However my wife and I had dinner over in The Clubhouse Restaurant which is only like 10 years old. We decided to go on a Friday night because there was live racing and I heard that they had some great dinner specials. Well I heard right. They had a Buy One Get One FREE Prime Rib Dinner with two sides. WOW! What a deal. The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly to my liking and very delicious. I had a baked potato loaded with butter, sour creme and bacon. It was delicious as well. I can honestly say that the wait staff is extremely friendly. We received great service. On top of all of the great food the area that we sat in over looked the actual live dog track. The entire back of the restaurant is glass. It is in two tiers so everyone can see the track with no problem. The betting windows are right at the top of the stairs for easy access. The cool part about it is they have real people tellers as well as teller machines. Kerry who was taking mine and my wife's bets for the evening was GREAT! My wife who was not an experienced better had a lot of questions and Kerry was more than willing to answer them all for her. Not only could you bet the live races but you could also bet other dog and horse tracks all over the United States. They have TV's all around the top portion of the Clubhouse as well as around the bar and at your personal table where you can watch and bet on other tracks. Another great feature was right below The Clubhouse was where the dogs were brought out so you could stand right on the rail no more than 3 feet away from the dogs and look at them. My wife really liked that. So if you are looking for a fun evening with great food, great drinks and great entertainment look no further than the Sanford Orlando Dog Track. ”

“ If you like the sleaziness that comes with Charles Bukowski, and the thrill of running dogs, you'll really like the Sanford-Orlando Greyhound Park. Built in 1926, it's like the real deal and it seems like the regulars have been coming there since opening day and never left. I think the two stone pooches that mark the entrance are the most awesome things in the world. Inside, you'll get the real deal, nothing fancy just placing bets and watching dogs run. ”
